My brother and I have been delighted with Camberley Manor since our 97-year-old father moved in at the start of November. All of the staff are unfailingly helpful and cheerful. The care staff deal with his various issues - medication, mobility, hearing, comprehension, etc - with great attention and understanding. They work hard to improve his quality of life by getting him out of his room and involved with activities. We are pleased to give the home the high recommendation it deserves.
A visit today to celebrate my friends 95th birthday. A very enjoyable and delicious lunch followed by wonderful entertainment, sing-a-long and birthday cake. The most delicious cake ever tasted. The staff are all so lovely with the residents and enjoyed the the live singing and dancing.
As a family, we have experienced such a warm welcome and high levels of care for my grandfather. Before his move, he hated the idea of a care home but after the first night he said he doesn't ever want to leave. The staff are just so calm. Caring and kind, and the facilities are amazing.
Camberley Manor has provided excellent care for my mother who has now been a resident for over 2 years. Mum arrived at CM with a serious abdominal wound and was immobile. Today she is able to get around in her electric wheelchair and loves the garden. Mum is also able to walk a few steps due to excellent physio. Mum has had some moments of quite serious unwellness but the staff have always rallied to her aid and gone the extra mile to get mum the medical support she requires. Mum has developed real friendships with staff and residents and is very content. She feels safe at CM and if she has had to go to hospital she has been very happy to get "home". CM has shown tolerance and patience when family members might have been over-worried or stressed at certain times. This is a real skill. CM is a friendly, professional, caring, and highly competent home and has given my mother and indeed the whole family a huge amount of support and care. We are truly grateful.
It's only been a few days since my mother and family selected The Manor as her new Home. We call it "The Manor" because it is not a nursing home, it is her new home. I didn't realise the meaning of the sales pitch and the words "We don't use agency staff". Only a week into my mother having moved in, I now realise that the workforce is a family with close connections with not just the residents but also a team as a whole. This makes it work so well. Food is an important part of a person's life and with my mother having special food preparation needs I have been blown away by the lengths the team goes to to ensure she gets to sample the excellent food. An example of this is that at the weekend the home had an open day and without asking and in such a natural way, a preparation of the BBQ was offered. Inclusive life supported by the Team at The Manor. Would I recommend The Manor - no - that isn't enough. Would I shout and scream about how great it is.
My mum had to go into hospital after a fall in her home. She was not safe living on her own, and in mum's best interests, we started looking at care homes. After looking at quite a few we settled on Camberley Manor. It all was taken care of. The manager came to see mum in a hospital to see her and assess her needs. From there mum was picked up from the hospital and brought to Camberley Manor [As respite first to see if she liked it] she then became a resident that was a year ago. The carers there are such wonderful people and the care mum receives is amazing, I don't have the words to say how caring and gentle they are. Mum sees them as part of her family. The team they have on the different floors remain the same so there is continuity and they know mums needs before she does. I can't speak highly enough and would like to give a special mention to the Team Leader and her team on the Tulip Floor. Thank you I couldn't have picked a better care home. Thank you so much.
Care leaves me with confidence that my mother is safe and physically and medically cared for. Staff are considerate and rigorous. They are accessible if I call or email and are always responsive to my questions.
The team at Camberley Manor has been so helpful and supportive from the first phone call they all understand how important it was for us to have a safe, happy new home for my Dad. Dad needed urgent care and support and we are so thankful and impressed by how the team has helped us at such short notice and with such urgency.
Camberley Manor Care Home is a home from home... I can't fault it. Carers and staff are friendly and helpful with a smile whenever asked for help. Meals are varied and tasteful. Activities organised should interest all. There is a lovely garden with walkways for residents to enjoy. Relatives visiting say they feel welcome to visit. The home feels a happy place.
My mother moved to Camberley Manor at the beginning of Dec. 23. From the first second she was made to feel welcome. All of the staff were most welcoming and attentive. Before choosing Camberley Manor I visited 12 other homes in the area and visited Camberley Manor 3 times before deciding on Camberley Manor. My decision was never regretted. My contact with the home was excellent. On calling to discuss Mum's care I always received excellent information. When visiting I was always greeted by my first name and made to feel welcome. Camberley Manor has a fantastic system that allows me to log on and see all of mum's medical and behavioural notes which were constantly updated. This was most reassuring since I live abroad. Mum had mobility issues and refused walking aids. (She did not need them) However, Camberley Manor worked with a physiotherapist who did a fantastic job in getting Mum mobile and accepting a walking stick! Full marks to Camberley Manor.
Very happy with the care and staff that work at the home, I was so glad that my Mum was accepted into Camberley Manor. Having seen her settle in gives us great piece of mind that she is in such a good place and receiving the best care. Highly recommend!
The staff and facilities at Camberley Manor are excellent. The variety of activities that are available each week is outstanding. My Dad enjoys yoga, Thai chi, keep fit, the book club, and even some dancing. The standard of care and the regular communications and updates are particularly valuable.
My Mum has been a resident at Camberley Manor for over two-and-a-half years. As I live abroad, I have not been able to visit her as much as I would like, but I have been able to keep in touch via the home's excellent, and usually daily, updates on their Facebook page. Through the photos and videos posted there, I could see her taking part in the many and varied activities which the home organises, and witness the delight on her face at the visits from therapy animals, or singing along to songs from times gone by! The staff are very observant and attentive, and soon got to know my Mum well and treat her as the individual she is. Unfortunately, my Mum's dementia is severe and has become progressively worse, which poses considerable challenges that the staff have dealt with, with huge flexibility, insight, and compassion. Camberley Manor has truly become my Mum's real home in her - and in our - hour of need.
Mum has been in Camberley Manor for over a month now! All the Carers and staff are familiar with Mum and her needs already. I have found all the staff extremely professional and caring! Lots of activities to keep Mum interested. I would highly recommend the home to others!
My mum came to Camberley Manor for urgent respite care and this was her first experience of a care home. She loved it here and could not fault the care she received. She was warmly welcomed and treated with kindness and respect. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Camberley Manor to others.
The Manor made the transfer from the hospital to a care home very smooth and helped the family with what was a very difficult time. Every effort has been made to help my wife settle in and enjoy her surroundings. The staff could not be more helpful and always make the family and visitors welcome.
Mum has been at Camberley Manor Care Home since March 2024, her care has been fantastic and made her life so much better, she's made lots of friends and joined in the numerous activities they provide, whenever I see her, which is at least three times a week, all of the staff are so friendly and are always willing to help in any way they can.
My mother has been staying as a respite resident but may have to stay permanently. I saw a few care homes whilst looking for the right care for my mum. Camberley Manor lives up to its name luxury. The staff are amazing and attentive from the office staff, laundry, cleaners, chefs, hairdresser, carers and nurses. I have no concerns leaving my mum when I visit and know she is getting the very best care and support. The gardens are lovely and the bistro is lovely to take mum for a coffee. Camberley Manor provides activities for the residents and are great at trying to get the residents to participate. I always feel very welcome when I arrive and the whole place gives off a warm happy atmosphere in what could be a very challenging environment at times I’m sure. My mum seems very settled with her environment and with the staff and if I had to go into care I would want Camberley Manor to be the place I go to, can’t thank the staff enough.
Mum has been a resident at Camberley Manor for over two years and her dementia has progressively become more challenging. Throughout all of this the staff have cared for her with professionalism (nursing care and everyday care) and compassion and have given her a home where she can feel loved and safe. The staff have the capacity to see beyond the dementia and recognise and value the person underneath.
My mother has been here for nearly a year and on Friday the staff organised a surprise birthday for her.I cannot thank them enough, they went over and above in every aspect. Decorations, entertainment, food and drink. They certainly made it a memorable afternoon. I cannot recommend Camberley Manor enough it feels like a 5* hotel and I am so grateful my mother is there.
