Jian Chummei
Home Manager
My name is Chunmei Jian, but my preferred name is Jian.
I am a registered general nurse with CIPD level 5 HR qualification. I am particularly interested in working with elderly people who need dementia care and general nursing care.
Before joining our fantastic team at Cambridge Manor as a care service manager in 2015, I worked as a Deputy Home Manager in two other nursing homes. I have taken on the new role as the home manager here since November 2021. As a home manager, I lead, manage, and develop a dedicated team to provide high-quality, person-centred care according to the needs and wishes of each resident. When residents need extra support to live as independently as possible, my focus is to provide a safe and happy environment to promote “wellness, happiness and kindness” in their lives.
I provide leadership and supervision to inspire and motivate the team to ensure that we comply with current best practices, TLC policies and procedures, and relevant legislative requirements to make a real difference to the quality of lives of our wonderful residents who live at Cambridge Manor.
Alex Wortley
Business Development Manager
I would like to introduce myself as the new Business Development Manager at Cambridge Manor Care Home. I am delighted to be joining TLC Care and I look forward to continuing all the working relationships we have with local organisations as well as establishing new ones.
My career to date has been in marketing, and I have worked in the private healthcare sector for the past 13 years, focusing on business development, community-engagement, excellence in customer service and patient experience, and daily operational management.
I am passionate about people having the best possible experience in healthcare and will be bringing my enthusiasm to the team here to contribute to our delivery of person-centred care. I am privileged to be able to work in such an environment.
Maria Bonifacio
Care Services Manager
After graduating with a BSc in Nursing at the Philippine Women’s University, I passed the National Licensing exam in 1995 and later registered under the NMC in 2001.
I have been practicing since 1995 in both hospital and care home settings. A career in healthcare has allowed me to maintain high standards of practice through audits and appraisals, ensuring carers and nurses work professionally and cater to the preferences of residents. Additionally, I’ve mentored nurses in the UK and overseas but what I have enjoyed most of all, is spending time with residents and their loved ones. I’ve faced the difficulties of the job and what makes it worthwhile, is hearing positive feedback from residents themselves and their families. Hearing the team at TLC has made an impact on someone’s wellbeing is rewarding.
My longest positions remain as a clinical lead in Adult Nursing and as a unit manager, further specialising in Palliative care. All of which has prepared me for the role as your Care Services Manager where I’ll continue my duties in collaboration with the incredible clinical team and all members of the TLC family.
Martin Ogwang
Hotel Services Manager
I have 20 years of experience working in the care sector. I joined the TLC Care family in 2009 and worked in different roles at the Support Office and care homes. I have worked with brilliant mentors within the company and have learnt so much along the way.
As a Hotel Services Manager, I am responsible for managing and delivering outstanding hotel services provided to our residents, based on their interests and needs.
When I am not with residents, I am passionate about learning and development and always enjoy supporting our team members with their training needs.
Giphine Alwariez
Finance and HR Manager
I am a qualified accountant and previously worked across a range of industries including medical research and signage.
At Cambridge Manor, I am responsible for all matters regarding funding, suppliers and credit control as well as managing the payroll side of the business to ensure our team members are paid accurately and on time.

At Cambridge Manor we offer a range of specialist care services. Read what people say about our dementia care service.
“My husband has been at Cambridge Manor for a year, he is on the dementia floor. Throughout this time I have been impressed by the cleanliness and welcoming reception of the home. I also value the residents’ meetings where relatives are encouraged to ask questions and are answered fully. The carers are kind and concerned, they treat residents with dignity. During the year, my husband’s health has declined, as is inevitable, but I’m happy with the exceptional care given.”
