Welcoming new residents at Candlewood House Care Home

Our teams ensure the level of care is of a high standard and this comes through recruiting team members with a multitude of experience as well as the quality training and development from TLC Care.

One of our newest homes, close to Golders Green, Finchley and Hampstead, has a fantastic range of facilities for residents to enjoy, as well as a new rehabilitation service designed to increase independence and quality of life.

Candlewood House caters for multiple religions and has held various religious events for residents to enjoy high holy days and religious festivals. The home has themed lounges, a cinema room to enjoy previous and current movies and even a sweet shop!

Partnering with National Garden Scheme (NGS)

At Candlewood House, we are delighted to partner with the National Garden Scheme (NGS), an inspiring initiative that celebrates the beauty and therapeutic benefits of gardening. The NGS opens the gates to over 3,500 extraordinary private gardens across the UK, raising vital funds for nursing and health charities such as Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK, and The Queen’s Nursing Institute. Since its inception, the scheme has contributed over £70 million to these causes, with an impressive £3.4 million donated in 2023 alone.

Our collaboration with NGS reflects our shared belief in the transformative power of nature. At Candlewood House, we are committed to creating environments that enhance physical and mental wellbeing. Through this partnership, we embrace the NGS’s mission to support community gardening initiatives and highlight the profound benefits of green spaces in promoting health and connection.

• Residential care in Candlewood House is provided by professional teams, who are dedicated to hearing and understanding every resident’s needs. We help our residents live independently with constant access to our care team and wellness facilities. By focusing on the overall well-being of our residents, we ensure they are feeling their best.
• Nursing care in our friendly home is provided by a team of registered nurses, who always strive to provide the most tailored personal care. By offering award-winning nursing care, deluxe facilities, and a strong community atmosphere, we ensure our residents feel a sense of belonging during their time at Candlewood House.
• Dementia care offered in our North London care home is available 24/7 and is tailored to suit each resident’s needs. Alongside our care, we organise a variety of stimulating activities and events, to ensure our residents are engaged physically, mentally and socially.
• Respite care caters to our residents’ immediate needs, supporting their recovery journeys. Alongside our care, Residents are always encouraged to enjoy all the facilities and activities offered in our tranquil care home.
• Our new Rehabilitation Services benefit those living with physical disabilities or are recovering from a severe illness, injury or surgery. We understand that often individuals require short-term care and rehabilitation before returning home. Our rehabilitation services have been designed to increase the well-being and independence of our elderly residents.
